 Sadly, we have decided to end our breeding program of twenty-five plus years of selective breeding that has produced our quality herd. We have always prided ourselves by giving our donkeys the high quality care that they so deserve. However, we are reaching a time in our lives to work less and play more.

We will be holding a sale at Ass-Pirin Acres on June 22nd, 2013. Sale barn will be open on June 21st for viewing and questions. This sale will give everyone an opportunity to add quality to your herd or start your own herd.

75+ Jennets - 12 Years and under

Jennets under 4 years will be open

Jennets over 4 years will be bred or have foals at side

All donkeys are 33½" and under

We have many spots and reds. All of our donkeys are well cared for and loved. Herd sires are offered for sale at any time. Also three young potential herd sires and two young jacks to be gelded when old enough. We would like for this to be a jennet sale only so we are offering these donkeys before the sale. Contact us for more information on them.

Donkeys may not leave the barn until the sale is over and are checked out at the door. This is to assure the right donkey goes with the right owner.

A vet will be available to do health papers directly after the sale ends. The fee is $28 paid directly to the vet. All donkeys will have a negative coggins report in their packet which you need to take to the vet if you wish to have a health paper completed to your state. There will be a food vendor available on Friday afternoon and during the day on Saturday.

Kim Zeller's has offered to transport donkeys to and on her way to the Iowa Sale. Animals can stay at her farm until then. Thank you Kim. Celeste Brown from New York will transport on her way and to the Iowa Sale. Thank you Celeste. There will be others at the sale that may offer this also back to their location.

We can offer transport from and to states that Michael travels. Can offer safe and clean transport along the route he will be taking. Michael is an excellent care giver and all will have water, hay, and rest time. Trailer has two camera's and they are constantly watched during travel. We at Ass-Pirin Acres strongly believe in a sound breeding program, producing top-quality miniature donkeys.

Our management includes deworming every two months, hoofs trimmed on a regular basis by a licensed farrier, and vaccinations at proper schedules. The donkeys all have proper shelter and large pastures to graze and play in. Every donkey is an individual with a name, not a number, and is loved and hugged on a daily basis.

We strongly believe in gelding jacks and only the very best will go on to have a breeding career. Geldings make the best pets. They are easy to handle and train. We don't forget our customers when their check goes into the bank.  We offer support and advise, to the best of our ability, on any problems or questions that might arise.

We care about our donkeys and want their new home to be a place of proper safe care, and where they will be loved as much as they are here at Ass-Pirin Acres.  We do this by educating customers, by never selling a single donkey without proper companion arrangements made before he arrives in his new home, and just "being there" when needed.

We are located in the Champlain Valley, 30 miles South of Burlington, Vermont.  Nearby is Lake Champlain, the Adirondacks, and the Green Mountains
